Nesaquake Girls "Red" Volleyball Win Winter Scholar Athlete Award

Bump..set..spike! Three cheers for the Nesaquake girl's "red" volleyball team on winning the Smithtown Booster Club's Winter Scholar Athlete award. The team had a cumulative GPA of 3.94! The team was given shirts and a plaque Thursday morning by Smithtown Booster Club President Dave Miller.

Nesaquake Middle School Principal Dan McCabe congratulated the team and handed out shirts to each student.

Head Coach George Alamia said, "I’m so proud of each and every girl on this team and I look forward to seeing everything they do in the future in Smithtown.”

Also on hand were SCSD Assistant Superintendent Kevin Simmons, Nesaquake Assistant Principal Derek Solomon and SCSD Athletic Director Jason Lambert.
