Coached by Bill McCourt, the team was undefeated while caputring the League I and Suffolk County Championship (there wasn't a Long Island or State Championship to advance to). The volleyball team, under Hall of Fame inductee Coach Bill McCourt's direction, won their first of many Suffolk County Boys Volleyball Championships. The team led the county in most statistical areas, while earning many players All League and All County honors. Some of the players have since been inducted into the Smithtown Hall of Fame.
